BJHS/BHS: String Orchestra Concert

Burley High School and Burley Junior High proudly present the joint concert of their respective String Orchestra Ensembles! Directed by Mr. Timothy Wood and Dr. Paul Pugh, respectively.

Burley High School String Orchestra: Mr. Tim Wood

Tim Wood joined the staff at Burley High School in 2016 teaching instrumental music classes. Prior to 2016, Tim taught at Timberlake Schools for nine years. He previously taught in two districts in Washington and at Wenatchee Valley College where he developed a jazz program. He has been working with students of all ages sharing his love of music for over 20 years.

Burley Jr. High School String Orchestra: Dr. Paul Pugh, D.A.

Dr. Pugh is in his 14th year of teaching bands and orchestras at Burley Junior High and all four Burley elementary schools to include Mountain View, Dworshak, White Pine, and John Evans Elementary. He has a Doctor of Arts degree in Trumpet Performance/Jazz Pedagogy from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO (2002). He also holds a Master (1996) and Bachelor degree (1992) in Trumpet Performance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He received his Associate of Arts degree in Fine Arts from Fullerton College in Fullerton, CA (1989).
